South Red Sea Shipyard awarded for two 30m luxury yachts

Yachts made of wood are rare and therefore always something very special. The privately owned Egyptian shipyard “South Red Sea” founded in 1920’s in Alexandria, got awarded for two 30m luxury yachts that will be built in their new yard in Safaga using the cold mold concept, where the super structure is made of wood and coated with fiberglass. The Suez Canal Authority will be using those yachts to host the VIP guests and official visiting the canal to see the current development and the economic zone. Right now the yacht is being built and the engines – two 12V 2000 M96 mtu engines per yacht – have already been installed.
